SAP CPI Groovy IDE — Develop & Test Integration Scripts Online
Develop, test and debug Groovy scripts for SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite) directly in your browser. The IDE simulates the CPI message processing pipeline — body, headers, exchange properties and console output — so you can validate scripts before deploying them to an iFlow.

Groovy IDE auf Deutsch: Einstieg und SAP-CPI-Beispiele
Faithful CPI message simulation
Implement processData(Message message) exactly as in SAP CPI. Set the message body, headers and properties, run the script and inspect the transformed message instantly.
Templates for common CPI tasks
Start from ready-made templates for typical integration scenarios: header and property access, XML and JSON processing, value mappings and message logging.
Debug without deploying
Stop the deploy-run-check-log cycle in SAP Integration Suite. Iterate on your Groovy script locally in seconds, then paste the finished script into your iFlow.
UDF & mapping support
Develop user-defined functions for message mappings and test XSLT transformations in the dedicated XSLT mode.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I test SAP CPI Groovy scripts online?
- Choose the CPI mode, paste or write your script implementing processData(Message message), define the message body, headers and properties, and press Run. The IDE simulates the SAP CPI message processing pipeline and shows the resulting body, headers, properties and console output instantly.
- Can I simulate message headers and exchange properties?
- Yes. The CPI mode provides dedicated panels for message headers and exchange properties, exactly like the Message object inside a real SAP Cloud Integration iFlow. You can inspect how your script reads and modifies them on every run.
- Is this Groovy IDE really free?
- Yes. The browser editor is free to use without registration. Optional MCP call packages for AI clients are sold separately and are not required to use the editor.
- Where are my scripts stored?
- Scripts are saved in local storage in your browser. When you run a script, its code and input data are sent to the execution runtime. See the Privacy Policy for information about processing and optional analytics and marketing tracking.
- Do I need to install anything to run Groovy code?
- No. The IDE runs entirely in your web browser. There is no local Groovy, Java or SDK installation required — the code is compiled and executed in a secure, isolated runtime and the result is streamed back to your browser.
- Which Groovy version does the online IDE use?
- Choose Groovy 2.4.21 for SAP CPI script step 1.1 or Groovy 4.0.29 for script step 2.0. When using Groovy 2.4, the editor can also check whether the script compiles under Groovy 4. Test the complete integration in your SAP environment before deploying changes.
